The working plan
What we want to do
Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will be about horse riding, experiencing local life, exploring wild landscapes, and spending as much time in nature as possible. March is still early spring, so the high mountains will be covered in deep snow. We’ll stay mostly at lower elevations, explore what’s accessible, and enjoy those huge snow-covered mountains from below. The route isn’t fixed — we’ll see what we find along the way.

What we have done
- Broad north-to-south route outlined
- Vehicle options compared
- Season and weather research started
Places we want to visit
- Darwin
- The Red Centre
- The east coast
How we plan to travel
- Travel with a suitable road vehicle
- Plan fuel and water carefully
- Build the route around heat and road conditions
